Lacing Industry Nine's Ultralite 235 mountain rim to the chassis of their i25TL Disc Wheel, the Ultralite 235 CX Disc Wheelset achieves a feathery weight and robust support for running wider tires in the neighborhood of 30 to 55 millimeters. To achieve an optimal ride quality, reliable strength, and even spoke tension, Industry Nine uses 16 spokes along the rear wheel's drive side, complemented with 8 on the opposing side. This spoke orientation not only serves to balance spoke tension, but it also reduces the stress exerted on the rim, as well as lessening fatigue exhibited with a traditional 24-hole spoke wheel. By using this lower spoke count in a 2/1 lacing pattern, Industry Nine achieves a feathery-light wheelset that's reliably strong for your cross and gravel grinding needs. As you'd expect from Industry Nine, this wheelset benefits from the responsive 6-degree engagement of their Torch Road Hubs. The Torch Road Hub is slightly reconfigured from their usual Torch Mountain Bike Hub, with a reduced 3-pawl count (down from the usual 6) lessening drag and weight. Revised bearings and a reconfigured freehub seal work to lessen drag while you're coasting.
